Brief Description

The Indian Army, through its Recruiting Office (Headquarters) Bangalore, invites online applications from unmarried male candidates for the Agniveer intake for the recruiting year 2025-26 under the Agnipath Scheme. This recruitment is open to domiciles of Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Tumakuru, Mandya, Mysuru, Ballari, and other specified districts in Karnataka. The selection process consists of two phases: an online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) and a Recruitment Rally.

Class 10th simple pass with 33% in each subject.

Class 8th simple pass with 33% in each subject.

Selection Process (Two Phases)

Phase I: Online CEE

  • All candidates will first undergo an Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
  • The test will be an objective Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) exam.
  • Marks will be normalized to account for variations in difficulty across different sessions.

Phase II: Recruitment Rally

  • Shortlisted candidates from the CEE will be called for the recruitment rally.
  • This phase includes a Physical Fitness Test (1.6 Km Run, Pull-Ups, etc.), Physical Measurement Test, Adaptability Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

How to Apply

  1. Candidates must log in to the official website `www.joinindianarmy.nic.in` to check eligibility and create a profile.
  2. Online registration and application submission will be open from 12 March to 10 April 2025.
  3. Pay the examination fee of ₹250 online.
  4. During application, you must indicate five choices for the CEE exam center.
  5. Download the admit card from the website for both Phase I and Phase II.

1. What are the main stages of the Agniveer selection process?

It is a two-phase process. Phase I is the online Common Entrance Examination (CEE). Candidates who are shortlisted in Phase I will be called for Phase II, which is the Recruitment Rally that includes physical tests, document verification, and medical examination.

2. Can I apply for both Agniveer GD and Agniveer Clerk?

Yes, you can apply for up to two categories based on your eligibility. You will need to fill separate application forms and appear for two separate online exams, but the recruitment rally (Phase II) and medical test will be common.

3. I am married. Am I eligible to apply?

No, only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this recruitment. You must also undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period.

4. Is this a permanent job in the Indian Army?

No, this is a four-year engagement under the Agnipath Scheme. After four years, up to 25% of each batch may be offered an opportunity to apply for permanent enrolment in the regular cadre based on merit and organizational needs.

5. My 12th board exam result is not out yet. Can I apply?

Yes, candidates awaiting their Class 10th or 12th board exam results are eligible to apply. However, they must produce the original marksheet during Phase II of the recruitment process to be selected.

6. I have an NCC 'C' certificate. Will I get extra marks?

Yes, bonus marks are awarded for NCC certificates, sports achievements, and for being a son of a serviceman/ex-serviceman. An NCC 'C' certificate holder, for instance, receives 20 bonus marks for Agniveer GD and 15 for Agniveer Clerk.
